Solvent Recovery Plants

Introduction

For solvent based manufacturing processes, where the solvent is a recurring consumable cost, the need to recover the solvent is an immediate necessity. Dalal Solvent Recovery Plant works on the principle of adsorption on activated carbon and regeneration by low pressure steam, efficiently trapping and actively recovering the solvents. This Plant eliminates air pollution while bringing the solvent user upto 98% efficient recovery. The plant is fully automated and very simple to operate. Also, running costs are low with a payback period of two years or less. Designed and constructed to the highest engineering standards, the Recovery Plants guarantee performance.

How it works

Solvent Recovery Plant Flow Diagram Solvent Laden Air (SLA), released into the atmosphere from the evaporative process, is passed through a bed of activated carbon. The Solvent is adsorbed and stripped air is exhausted to atmosphere. When the carbon bed gets saturated with solvent, it is regenerated with low pressure steam. Desorbed solvent and steam mixture is condensed and separated for reuse.

Applications

Adhesive tapes, brake linings, carbon copying paper, gaskets, industrial belting, peroxide manufacture, pharma products, rotogravure printing, rubber products, surgical bandages, synthetic leather, weatherproof sheeting, effluent gases from tank farms
